Daughter and her family are frequent fliers here and this is where she wanted to eat for her birthday. This was the wife and I's first time.
This is one of the better buffets we have eaten at. A huge selection that also includes a large sushi bar and a wok and hibachi station where you can get items cooked to order. I saw staff constantly tending the hot buffett bars adding hot, fresh food and wiping up spills and keeping the presentation nice.
I stuck mainly with the sushi and seafood items. All items I tried from the sushi bar were good. They also had one of my favorites, mayonnaise baked mussels. Daughter got me to try coconut shrimp which I liked as well and the bacon wrapped shrimp.
They also had some items that you normally only find at higher end sushi restaurants such as baby octopus, which my wife and I really like. The octopus was on the spicy side which I liked but I still dipped it in the hot chili oil as I do just about everything.
The only thing I tried I did not like that night were the crab rangoons.
They add honey to theirs making them to sweet for my tastes.
Also be aware both my daughter and I thought the same thing, that the wasabi here seems hotter than normal and we both found out the hard way!
The entire family enjoyed their meals and even the granddaughter chowed down and she can be picky about food like this!
The server for our area kept empty plates cleared promptly and we had no issues with plates piling up on our table as reported by other reviewers. He also refills drinks quickly as well.
We went on a Thursday night, so it wasn't crowded at all. Daughter and family have been on a Saturday night and said it was beyond packed with a line out of the door waiting to get in. NO THANKS! We'll stick to week day nights!
For the amount and quality of the food the price is more than reasonable at $11.99 for adults and $6.99 for the granddaughter plus drinks tax and tip.
This was our first visit here, but it definitely won't be our last! -

DISGUSTING!!! Everything was room temperature or cold on the bar. Nothing hot like it should have been. The health department will have a field day with that. It was so greasy we couldn't eat it. I took 4 bites and felt like I was going to vomit. Talked to the waitress about it and she brought Ling to the table who looked to be the owner. She wouldn't take my meal off the check. I never try to get food for free but it wasn't edible. Then my husband went to the bar to see if the dessert looked better. The photo we're posting is of the fly on the dessert. I guess he was enjoying it!!! At $10.99 a person, do yourself a favor and go to Longhorn for a nice juicy burger!!!

The food is OK, a bit over-priced for the quality. However it is buffet style and you have to expect a bit of the "buffet" type experience.
They do seem to have a continuing issue with Fire and EMS showing up. Do not have exact numbers but it seems they are here a lot on calls. -

So it appears that Dynasty Buffet has moved to a different strip mall & now has a stand alone building. In their favor there is plenty of room for a good sized crowd of people. Much like the last time I was here I was railroaded by my wife into going because, " we are taking my cousin out for Christmas."
The food hasn't changed. Its stunningly average Chinese American fare with a lot more American dishes like mac and cheese and hot dogs. The vast majority of the dishes were chicken based with a few seafood dishes thrown in. Beef was nearly non-existent. The sushi was poorly cut and raggedy, but the worst dish was the hot & sour soup. It was hot temperature wise, but it had a flavor that reminded me of soap.
The part of the meal I enjoyed the most were the little Hoodsie cups of Hershey ice cream. I had two of the coffee and two chocolate. The coffee cups were foam & the spoon tore right through them. The chocolate cups were plastic, thank God. -
